The Deep-Ocean Stewardship Initiative (DOSI) is the world’s largest network dedicated to deep-ocean science, policy, and stewardship. Established in 2013 to respond to growing human pressures on the deep ocean, DOSI was created as a global, inclusive platform to connect knowledge with decision-making and promote stewardship both within and beyond national boundaries. The DOSI mission is to integrate scientific and humanistic knowledge to inform deep-ocean policy, governance, and stewardship by engaging with policymakers, cultivating capacity and diplomacy, and creating community.

The Thermal Ecology Alliance (TEA) is a global collaborative initiative aiming to bring together people committed to predicting, communicating, and mitigating the impacts of changing temperatures on biodiversity.

The impacts of climate change are accelerating at an unprecedented rate. Now, more than ever, we urgently need to build accurate predictions of the most vulnerable species and regions to design effective mitigation and conservation strategies. Through community-driven initiatives and open discussion, the Thermal Ecology Alliance works to collect high-quality data, resolve points of contention, build consensus, and spark innovations at unprecedented rates—giving us the power to tackle one of the most pressing challenges of our generation.

Earthlanka Youth Network

Earthlanka Youth Network organization started running in 2009. We were the first youth ever to do a side event in a COP UNFCCC for Sri Lanka, and we carried out a campaign for UNFCCC called the Make It Green Again campaign, producing a nature song from Sri Lanka.

Our organization started another project on conserving marine resources in Sri-Lanka where a young research team was trained to monitor, educate, and engage communities for marine conservation. This project, known as Poseidon Army, was initiated for the Marine Research & Conservation program, a cohort of youth who will work towards community development in coastal areas, bringing concerns on sustainable development in Sri Lanka, uplifting the tourism industry & engaging in Action planning at the national level on marine resources. The youth co-group was working with local and international marine researchers for conservation efforts and to establish marine sanctuaries.

Since 2015, this youth team has been working voluntarily and has continued activities in the Southern, Western, and Eastern coastal belts in the country. All the youth members are PADI certified and trained in Coastal and Marine Ecology restoration, Community-based ocean Education, Coastal and Reef debris cleaning, Developing TOT for School Teachers in Marine Education, Blue Flag Beach implementation, Local Fishery Harbor Management, Maintaining turtle hatcheries, Empowering women in ocean science, ocean-based research, policy and advocacy.

Vi är Sveriges största och mest inflytelserika miljöorganisation och sedan 1909 har vi varit med och räddat pilgrimsfalken, skapat naturreservat och påverkat viktiga politiska beslut, bland annat inom klimatområdet.

Som en del av den globala miljörörelsen bidrar Naturskyddsföreningen till att stärka frågor om hållbar utveckling i världen. Vi har en unik kraft som folkrörelse och vill vara en naturlig hemvist för alla miljöengagerade. Vi finns i hela landet och verkar på alla nivåer i samhället. Vi har en bred och djup kompetens grundad i vetenskap och fakta. Vi väcker engagemang för naturen, sprider kunskap och utbildar om miljöfrågor, verkar för skydd och vård av värdefull natur, skapar opinion samt påverkar, granskar och utkräver ansvar av makthavare och lagstiftare. Vi verkar för en hållbar konsumtionskultur samt förändrade normer och beteenden. Vi tror att verklig förändring bygger på solidaritet i hela samhället, mellan generationer och över landsgränser.
